“My son was two when he first joined Kidz Rugby. From the start we were impressed with how fun and engaging each session was. It was so unique that as parents we were encouraged to join in. Coach Clinton is an amazing coach and Kidz Rugby and Clinton have our thanks for teaching our lad the love of rugby. 11 years on and he still loves the sport and all those skills he learnt at Kidz Rugby for all those years continues to pay off. He’s still playing for his local team as scrum half, and he’s gone on to compete at the Touch Nationals with his team winning the title for under 14s. It’s been 5 years since his last session with Kidz Rugby but to this day Clinton still checks in on him and is always the first to congratulate him on his achievements. “Jacob started with Clinton and Kidz Rugby in 2016 at the tender age of 6. He looked forward to every week and especially enjoyed the summer fayre, he met and became friends from an extended group other than from his school broadening his experiences. Over the years he learned about team work, humility and respect under the caring, attentive and passionate coaching of Clinton, a true mentor whose passion was infectious, always giving his time and above all respect to all. Jacobs confidence grew and his character blossomed. Now 7 years on he was honoured by his teammates at Sutton Rugby Club where he is now a player and was awarded Players Player of the Year, a true reflection on how his foundations in the sport and his outlook was part crafted by those years at Kidz Rugby. I couldn’t recommend highly enough the power of sport, inclusion and the experience gained within a safe and caring group of likeminded, fun loving youngsters.
